Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Inflammation of gastrointestinal tract is called gastroenteritis. Dogs can have this condition. Many factors can cause gastroenteritis in dogs. Following is list of factors that can cause this condition in dogs.
    1. Bacterial, fungal and viral infection of GI tract
    2. Intestinal parasites
    3. Eating garbage
    4. Eating spoiled food
    5. Inflammatory bowel disease
    6. Obstruction in GI tract
    7. Side effects of some medicines
    8. Ingestion of chemicals
Symptoms of gastroenteritis in dogs are vomiting and diarrhea, loss of appetite and lethargy etc. I can not recommend any treat for your dog because, before using any medicine, accurate diagnosis is needed because treatment depends upon underlying cause. So, it will be good to take your dog to vet for diagnosis and treatment.
