Poker players commonly use pot odds to resolve the expected value of a play. Commonly, odds can be articulated by a win-to-loss ratio. Odds can be transformed into percentage probabilities applying the simple formula: win-to-loss odds = win/ (win + loss) % probability. A general example 1-to-4 odds convert to 1/(1+4)= 20% probability. For each likely action at every point scored in a game of poker, the proper tactic is controlled by the pot odds opposite the player.
The basic game conjecture shows that a player should bluff a particular percentage of time which is equivalent to the opponent's pot odds to call out a bluff.
Take an example, like in the last round of betting, if the pot is placed at $30 and a player is anticipating a $30 bet (which will give his rival a 2-1 pot odds) the player should bluff partly as often as he would bet for worth.
