How Do You I.d An Old Upright Piano?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

An upright piano is a piano with strings which are set in a vertical manner. Hence they are also known as vertical pianos. They are more compact as a result of their frame and strings. It extends in both directions from the keyboard and hammers. Upright pianos are generally old and antique.

The best way to identify an upright piano is to an elaborate research on them through books and other mediums. This would give you an insight about them and would help you to identify them easily. Otherwise it is better to take assistance from a trusted antique dealer and make use of his expertise to select and identify a good and old upright piano. It is generally easy to recognise one due to its different and vertical structure but a dealer would also be able to determine its working condition and such other factors.
