I rent a house, our airconditioning has been breaking down for the last four months 5 times to date. We are without airconditioning again. My landlord is dragging her feet on getting the unit properly repaired or replaced. The landlord has now said that the problem is that we keep the thermostat below 70 degrees and do not change our filters enough! We change them 3x's a month and do not keep it below 70 we keep it at 72. What can I do to force her to repair this, my children have suffered from heat exhaustion.

How long do u have after not paying rent do you have before the landlord can kick you out And can he get in the house?
