    What Degree Is More Preferable In Accounting, MS Or BS, If I Already Have A BS In Maths?

    I am looking to switch careers and need advice on the best route to my goal of becoming an accountant. The only way that I can go back to school is through an online program. My goal is to switch careers within 2 years. I have been out of school for 5-6 years. The MS is obviously better, but does it keep me from getting a job because of overqualification.

    MS is always preferable. If you are pursuing your career in accounting then you should either go for MBA Finance or MS in Accounting and Finance.

    BS Math is good but you need to study subjects like Accounting, Finance and Taxation before you go for MS.
