I Have A 12 GB Folder In My PC,it Contains A Million Files, How To Delete It?
It is an expansion of offline wikipedia it has more than a million files. Whenever i try to delete it my CPU goes on 100% processing and everything stucks. What to do ..??

OR - it may be a disk space issue, or a bad cluster, so you could highlight the entire folder and then press SHIFT delete, which would instead of moving it too the recycle bin just delete it straight away.
Alternatively, find out the make of your computer, download the BIOS, Graphics Card, Motherboard, Sound drivers for it and format the whole thing and install Windows again!

I know all this man ...I am looking for a software which can delete faster and which is free ...anyways thanks for your answer .....
Just go to the folder through command prompt. Give del *.*. Then just wait. It will take time but all the files will get deleted.

The problem is your computer is trying to delete too many files at once. The best thing is to delete them manually, as in try one or two GB's at a time.

You will have to delete the files one at a time, and then delete the folder... Then empty your recycling bin. If that doesn't work then put all important documents on a disc, and delete everything off the hard drive... Bad part about it is you will have to reinstall windows or whatever it is you use as well.

Actually I am looking for a Open Source software to delete it ...that is the only way out i think ..otherwise I will have to format my system as the folder is in C Drive and i am always outta disk space.
