How To Build Floating Walls In A Basement?

Would like to know the proper way to build floating walls in a basement. Is this a requirement for just partition walls or all walls in a basement. I live in Ft. Collins, CO.

    The walls need to float so that they are not squeezed if the soil expands and pushes these wall upwards. There is a very simple trick which solves the problem and allows you to build strong walls which can move upwards, but not tilt over. Here is a link from where you can see all the details:
