Dinosaurs existed for more than 160 million years ago and at that time they were the most dominant animals that were vertebrates. They started dying out about 65 million years ago after being present for about 165 million years since 230 million years ago. They existed between the Triassic period and the Cretaceous period. Dinosaurs basically lived at varying times all these years ago and there were different types of dinosaurs which lived from time to time.
