It appears to run in the genetic make up. If our family members hae diabetes then you would be a risk also then someone who doesn't have that in their familial line. So prevention or maintaining good glucose levels is key to long and healthy life. If you don't take care to read up on Diabetes or take care of yourself when you are younger you will have more chances of blindness, numbness in your extremties, behavior changes, etc....
