What Was The Vehicle That Carried Neil Armstrong To The Moon?

Answer Question

WOW what a BIG question you have asked!!!

1st Neil Armstrong was only 1 of the crew of Apollo 11. He was accompanied by Buzz Aldrin and staying on the Command Module was Micheal Collins. Neil was the first person to set foot on the moon. The crew was sent into space aboard the Saturn V rocket (364 ft tall) once they were in space, the lunar crew moved into the lunar module. They then separated from the Command Module and were on their way to the surface. The Lunar module or LEM (Lunar Excursion Module) was called the "Eagle" and the Command Module was called: "Columbia".
I don't know, but I wonder if that is how the first Space Shuttle got it name. BTW The one way trip to the moon took 3 days.
I hope this answers your question.

    Take care
