 What Explains The Burst Of Postwar Expansion Following The War Of 1812?
I have to answer this essay question and of course I am without my book and am having trouble answering it with links online. Thanks for any help!!!

 I suppose you are concerned about the expansion of US. Army and its equipment after the war of 1812. This was essential for the United States as it realized that in order to defend its territory and keep New England under control it would need a strong army especially a strong Navy. Thus it inducted three new 74 gun ships and two new 44 gun frigates after the end of war.
