Classifying computers into different categories is not that challenging anymore as one can clearly see the characteristics which distinguish one class of computers from the other. When the computers are designed, they are classified by the architects according to the specifications.

While classifying computers, you need to see the size and function of the computer and then decide accordingly. A computer used at home would not be similar to a server used at a hospital. It is basically the function of the computers that separate them from one another.
