Does The Amount Of Salt On Ice Cream Effect The Time It Takes The Ice Cream To Melt?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Yes, the amount of salt (given as NaCl) causes the ice cream to melt faster but is used to make ice cream taste better as in salt and pepper on a steak.

A better example of using salt in this case (rock salt) causes ice on your drive way to melt and at a much greater rate than just attempting to shovel ice, which shoveling ice as you will find is very difficult if not impossible.
