Polio is almost eradicated from India. There are 79 cases reported of Wild Polio Virus from the states of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar pradesh and Bihar. Also 2 cases of Vaccine Derived polio Virus from the state of Assam. Please look at the following website for full information. Hopefully India will not lose any more children to this paralysing child disease.
