What Is Caffeine?

    The word caffeine is used as a kind of stimulant that is widely present in coffee. In the scientific terminology it is known as a xanthine alkaloid compound. It is the leaves and beans of the coffee where caffeine is mostly found and though coffee is the prime substance where caffeine is available; there are approximately sixty plants where you can find caffeine. When it is present in other plants, it works as a natural pesticide and it paralyses the insects that feed on the plants; sometimes it kills also.
           
    Caffeine is considered as the stimulant of the central nervous system and it has the temporary effect with which it can ward off drowsiness and restore alertness. Nowadays it is being used in some other drinks also that position themselves as energy drink.
