Actually the boat is made up of steel and there is a vacuum or air in
the boat. If the boat only has steel then it would sink because of its density which is more than water. The lower part of the boat have lots of air. On measuring the density of steel and air then one will know that by combining, they are less dense than water that is why boat floats.
