What Is British Wine Like?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The term 'British wine' is commonly used interchangeably with 'English wine'; however both these varieties of wine are different from each other. British wine is an alcoholic beverage. It is made mainly from grape juice, but at times, concentrates are also used in the preparation of British wine. Contrary to popular belief, British wine is not actually made in the United Kingdom. It is imported into Great Britain from other parts of the world. British wine is typically a strong, medium to sweet-tasting wine. It is similar in taste to that of sherry. Experts on the subject have clearly distinguished British wine from English wine by claiming that the latter is a far superior product than the former. English wine is indeed a far superior beverage than British wine, and unlike the latter, which is imported into the United Kingdom; English wine is made from grapes that are actually grown in the vineyards of England.
