How Are Goose Feather Quilts Made?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Goose-feather quilts are made by merging cotton along with white lofty goose feathers and are often given a baffle-box structure to prevent shifting.

A quilt basically is a kind of bedding, more so like a bed covering which has a quilt top, a sheet of batting along with a sheet of fabric for backing, generally created using the method of quilting. Another method for making the quilt layer is tying. Tying generally refers to the method of applying threads, yarn or ribbon to pass through all the layers of the quilt at particular sections.

Quite a few quilts are prepared with decorative designs; where as some type of quilts are not used for beds but are instead hung on walls. The method of tying is said to be the easiest method of creating quilts.
