Yes, it could effect the ecosystems. In earthquakes the stability of the land is often rudely disturbed..due to earthquakes the buildings crack and break apart.trees are uprooted causing large casualities. In hilly regions landslides are often caused as the result of earthquakes. One destructive effect of earthquakes is the occurence of large tidal waves called tsunami.
