Photoshop also known as Adobe Photoshop is a graphics editor developed by Adobe Systems. It is considered an industry standard for anything relating to visual elements or effects. It is available for a variety of operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux etc. Its primary function was preparation of images for paper based printing, but now it also used extensively for making images for the World Wide Web.
Adobe Image Ready CS has been developed primarily to facilitate this function. Photoshop is also used for media editing, animation and authoring.
