What Is The Concentration Of A Solution?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The concentration of a solution expresses the amount of solute (what is dissolved) that is been dissolved in an amount (usually volume) of solvent.

For example, dissolve 10 grams of salt (sodium chloride) in 2 Liters of water, and the concentration is 5 grams/Liter.

Of course, other units may be used such as moles/Liter.  This is know as molarity.
