The company that is known to the world as Kaplan INC is founded by Stanley Kaplan and it is not new to the area of operation where it is operating; it started the operation way back in the year 1938.

The business was first being started by the founder when he started teaching student that were appearing for the New York State Regents Exam and it was only in the basement of his home that was in Brooklyn where he started it. Initially he operated on his own but thought that it is better idea to start franchising the operation and then he did the same. In the year 1994 he sold the company to a big company called The Washington Post Company and till date the company is the subsidiary of that very organization.
