How Do Cell Phones Work?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Cell phones work with the help of a division of a city forming into small cells. Millions of people use cell phones and these tiny cells helps in grasping the frequency and allows it to reuse. Typically a cell phone analog receives 800 frequencies to be used transversely throughout the city. Each cell is 10 square miles in length and is thought to be as hexagonal grids. The basic advantage of a cell site is that they use low – power transmitters in the same frequency and can be used in non- adjacent cells.

A building containing a radio and a base station with a tower is mandatory for a cell to work properly. Due to the high end digital transmission technique the clarity is excellent. The signal passes from cell to cell as we travel .It recognizes the specific system identification code and tries to track the cells located in the database. The Mobile Telephone Switching Office (MTSO) coordinates and passes a signal. The amazing part of this is that it happens within one second.
