    An electronic Basal thermometer takes between thirty to sixty seconds to determine the temperature. A basal thermometer is a thermometer that is ultra sensitive. It is capable of locating the slightest shifts in the temperature. A BBT or a basal body temperature is used by women to chart shifts in their body temperature and predict their ovulation or fertile period. Most of these thermometers are type specific and come along with a temperature chart. A digital type of Basal Body Thermometer has an electric display and is believed to be better and sturdier at taking readings. The basal thermometer is also studier and harder to break and is much quicker in its readings along with being far more accurate. These thermometers are sometimes used for infants as well.
