What Is The Significance Of Pakistan's Location From A Strategic And Economic Perspective?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

From the standpoint of strategic and economic significance, Pakistan's location is particularly favorable for the country specifically with the growing trend of globalization and international trade.  As far as the location of the Arabian sea is concerned, for Pakistan, it is a wonderful opportunity as the sea route opens an avenue of scope for trade with regions like South Asia and the Far East (consisting of ports like Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand etc).

Moreover the west of Pakistan provides a gamut of opportunity for Pakistan to develop trade relations with the Middle East and strengthen ties with them.  As for the access to China and Afghanistan, although the land surface is not much because of the location of various mountain ranges, but the establishment of the Karakoram highway and the route to Afghanistan via the Khyber Pass solve this problem and facilitates communications and trade with both the neighbors of Pakistan.
