Sure they can help!  Spinal Stenosis it the narrowing of the spinal canal.  As it narrows, it puts pressure on the nerve that goes through it, which causes the pain and all the other symptoms.

I have Spinal Stenosis but since the epidural shots haven't relieved my pain long enough, they are going to to an RFA... Radiofrequency Ablation, in which they burn the nerve that is causing the pain with a thin needle.  I won't feel a thing!  The nurse told me "you walk in and you walk out".  It will relieve the pain anywhere from three months to two years (or more).
If the nerve grows back, they can repeat it.

One Epidural shot may do the trick for you.  Everyone is different.  I just wanted to share my experiences with you and let you know that there are various treatments to help you.  There is no cure for Spinal Stenosis, so the main thing is to attempt to relieve the pain.  Back surgery is only done as a last resort.
