Client Server is an architecture model. It distinguishes the client system from the server system, while communicating over a computer network. It is a distributed system that consists of both client and server software. The client software makes a service request from the server program, who fulfills the request. On the other hand a workgroup setup is basically a peer-to-peer PC computer network. It is run on Microsoft operating system only. Whereby the Microsoft OS allows workgroup users to access each other's files, printers or internet connections. They work on LAN and TCP/IP connections.
