When Is College Spring Break?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Spring break, also referred to as March break in some sections of Canada, would be a week-long recess granted from studying in early (as the name states) spring at universities as well as K-12 schools around the world in many countries including the United States, Canada as well as Japan, Korea and China.

In the U.S., typically spring break dated could vary from the closing stages of February to even mid-April. Yet, on the whole, the majority of schools offer recess for any one of the opening two weeks of the month of March. It is generally known as reading week when it comes to Canadian universities where the recess is offered late February or somewhere early March.

In Japan, on the other hand, spring break commences with the conclusion of the academic year which is in March and finally ends on April 1 which marks the launch of a new academic year.
