On the 5th of July when Robert Kennedy finished addressing the audiences in the ballroom of the Ambassador Hotel in the city of Los Angeles in United States of America. After he left the ball room through a service region to meet his supporters, he was shot in the crowded kitchen passage by Sirhan B. Sirhan who was a 24 year old Palestinian, who opened fired with a .22 calibre revolver. He shot Robert Kennedy in the head at a very close range. After being shot, Robert Kennedy was taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital.

Robert Kennedy passed away on the following morning with, he passed away on the 6th of July in the year 1968. The 24 year old Assassin before shooting Kennedy allegedly shouted "Kennedy, You Son of a B****". He fired an eight shot of .22 calibre Johnson cadet revolver.
