The First World War was finished by this agreement. The treaty of Versailles was negotiated between the United States, France and Britain. There was no participation by the war losers.

By the treaty of Versailles, Germany was enforced to take acknowledgement of responsibility for allied losses. It was decided that the Germany had to pay major compensations of the war. By the agreement German's territory was reduced about 10% of its European area. The overseas properties of Germany were removed. The military foundation of Germany was also decreased. In the early of 1920s, some of the terms were eased off. The unpleasantness or bitterness was created by the treaty and that's helped to promote an environment that directed to the development of Fascism in Italy and rise of the Nazi in Germany.
