    Job analysis and productivity are two totally different things. Let us first take up job analysis, and then productivity. The term job analysis is used in an industrial as well as business sense. Job analysis, as the term suggests, is the act of analysing a job. It helps determine the kind of personnel that would be required for a specific task. Before that, and more importantly, job analysis helps determine primarily the different responsibilities associated with a specific job. Job analysis is a key requirement in the human resources industry, and is a good aid in pinpointing the right kind of talent for a given job.

    Productivity basically refers to the output that is achieved in a given set of circumstances over a specific time frame. Therefore, the difference between job analysis and productivity would be that job analysis is done before the task is carried out, and is an analysis of the requirements, while productivity is measured after the task is performed and is a measurement of the output.
