What Is 'Family Guy'?

Family Guy is an American animated series which was created in 1999. The series was created for FOX and the creator of the show, Seth MacFarlane, provides many of the voices of the characters.

The series is about a nuclear family who live in the suburbs in Quahog. Characters include Peter Griffin, Peter's wife Lois and their children Chris Griffin and Stewie Griffin. There is also a teenage daughter called Meg, but Peter is not her real father. There are many ecurring characters.

Many of the episode titles are a parody of films and television programmes etc and in the UK most of the episodes were rated 12 and 15.

In 2000 and 2002, the show was cancelled but ended up being continued due to many viewers watching the reruns and also due to DVD sales.

Family Guy Tv show is an animated that premiered on Fox TV on 31st January 1999. It is created by Seth McFarlane and is produced by him in association with Lolee Aries, David A. Goodman, Daniel Palladino and David Zuckerman. The series initially did not get very good ratings and was cancelled after the third season in 2002. However, after the release of the series DVD sets in 2003, the sales saw a sudden increase and the series was revived on 1st May 2005. Since then the series has seen a constant rise in its audience base as well as its ratings making it one of the most watched series across America.
The story of Family Guy revolves around the Griffin Family which is headed by the obnoxiously overweight idiot named Peter. He has a graceful wife named Louis who does her best to keep things under control and manage the family well. The couple has a socially awkward sixteen years old daughter named Meg who is often the subject of family jokes. She is desperately trying to get accepted in the “in crowd”, but unfortunately has been the reason behind many people trying to cause physical damage to themselves in order to avoid seeing her. Then there is Chris, fourteen years old son who is dumb at studies but is brilliant when it comes to art. He has many friends, but finds it somewhat problematic to interact with girls. There is also the murderous infant of the family named Stewie, who is super intelligent and would like to see his family dead and himself ruling the world. This peculiar family is completed by the talking dog of the household named Brian who loves to sip martini and is smarter than anybody else in the household.
The humor of the series results from the situations created by Peter, who tries to do his best for the family but eventually ends up making mistakes. Also the crazy and occasionally mocking mishaps that this Rhode Island family comes across unintentionally are bound to make the audience roar with laughter. The series which is currently running in its seventh season has aired a total of 116 episodes till date. The series has been nominated for twenty six awards in various categories and has already won ten different awards including three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation in 2007, Outstanding Music and Lyrics in 2002 and Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in 2002. Recently the creator of the series has signed a contract with Fox TV to keep the series on the network at least till 2012.

I despise of you not to know what family guy!is its been around for 10 years and their still making new episodes!its the best and funniest show on tv.and i own three volumes of it.and i own family guy blue harvest(star wars version).
