I would ask first if you are content in your preference to stay home and be alone most of the time, -- since it sounds like you are concerned that others see your life as boring, rather than feeling bored or dissatisfied yourself.
If you are content/happy in your preference, and manage to not feel bored or lonely, perhaps you are just naturally introverted. Maybe you get enough of your social contact through work, school, or family --which is fine, also. No one can say for you that you must create an elaborate social life of going out just to make others happy. Maybe you're just not interested in the things that others are. If you're happy with yourself and your life, and feel content and satisfied, and it's not causing you problems, then don't worry too much about it. Only remember that humans are social creatures by nature, and everyone needs some face-to-face interaction--so be sure to maintain some non-PC connection with people in the world at a level the you feel comfortable, even if it's just family or school or work.
On the other hand, if you are finding yourself bored and lonely, feel like the isolation is not a healthy thing, is causing you problems, or if you want or need more in your life, then understanding your other interests might be a good place to start. Sometimes, introverts find it easier or more comfortable not to need to manage the social aspects of dealing with others. But if discomfort with social interaction is at issue, you can still remain active, even if you prefer to do something that doesn't require a great deal of interaction and socializing. If you are interested in growing your life socially, perhaps define or choose one interest to you. Look for avenues that will enrich you outside of home, or use your PC skills to locate interest groups in your area who might get together in small groups or offer opportunities to establish friendships one-on-one as a result of that shared interest.
Again, if you aren't feeling unhappy, don't worry too much about this. But if you are feeling unhappy or lonely because either your lack of social interaction or because you are just disinterested and melancholy, it could be a good idea to talk with a professional counselor, who can help you understand possible reasons for your isolation or lack of interest. There could be any number of reasons for this (even physiological) reasons for melancholy, and having the aid of a trusted counselor can do wonders.

Are you sure that its because your to lazy? Or are you just set in your ways. It's very difficult to change something that you have been doing for a long period of time. Start by thinking of something you like, lets say watching movies(you said you liked this) why don't you start by picking one day a week and going to the movie theater to watch the new shows coming out.it's something you can do by yourself, something you like to do, and its gonna get you out of the house for a 3 or 4 hour period, one day a week. You my even meet people by going to the movies. In your local newspaper there is usually a section that contains clubs that you can join. You said you like to chat on your computer. See if there is a computer social club in your area. You can chat and meet new people and get out of the house at the same time. Good luck
