Your cat needs to be examined by a veterinarian.  It could be a simple urinary tract infection.  Other things that cause bloody urine in a cat of her age include bladder stones, kidney stones, kidney infection, kidney disease, and cancer.  She needs an examination, bloodwork, and a urinalysis as initial screening test--then your veterinarian can determine if further tests are needed or start appropriate therapy.

Your kitty is very sick and you need to take her to the vet as soon as you can. Both of these are signs that there isn't something right with her. At 12, she is a very old cat, though some cats live 15 to 17 years, it is rare. Hope this helps, good luck to you and the kitty.
