What Is A Documentary?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A documentary is a type of film or video representation or an attempt to represent reality. These types of films are not new, the earliest form being the film called "Moana" from the year 1926. These types of films are mostly used by film channels, natural history and natural world, and scientific channels and programs. The BBC's Panorama series which focused on current affairs and issues from around the world is one such example. Films that focused on the animal world like those featuring the narration of Sir David Attenborough are examples of documentary films. Features seen on the History channel are another example. Documentaries that feature topics such as politics and history are not always impartial or lacking bias. Much like history books they can be one sided and inaccurate.
