Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson born on 31st December 1941 is a former player and manager from Scotland. He is currently the manager of Manchester United. He holds the record for winning the most number of trophies by a manager in English Football. He has been in charge of Manchester United for over a period of twenty years and 1000 thousand matches.
He had earlier managed clubs like East Strilingshire, St Mirren and Aberdeen where he was very successful. He was also the Manager of Scotland on care taker basis due to the death of Jock Stein.
In the 1999 he created history by leading Manchester United to the treble which comprised of the FA cup, The League and The European Cup. In spite of the success Ferguson has time and time again come under criticism for his style of managing Manchester United.
