Leicester Square is located at the West End of London. It is surrounded by Lisle Street which is to the north, Charing Cross Road which is to the east, Whitcomb Street to the west and Orange Street, to the south. There is a park that is located at the centre.
The statue of William Shakespeare surrounded by dolphins which is at the centre of the park, is the most famous tourist attraction. It also consists of an entertainment section known as the "Theatreland". This cinema has space for more than 2000 seats and also the biggest screens. Some of the clubs, bars and restaurants which are located around this place are Hippodrome, Zoo Bar, Oxygen, The Comedy Store, The Venue, fiori, which is an Italian cafeteria and restaurant, Radisson Edwardian Hampshire and The Moon under Water.
A very famous mechanical clock called the Swiss Centre is at the North West corner of this Square. It was put up in 1984.
