    The Booting System of a computer is a process which starts the operating system when the user turns on the computer system. Boot Sequence is the name given to the set of operations that are performed by the computer initially when it is turned on.

    This process is also used when the configurations of the system are changed or the operating system and software needs to be recovered. The Boot device us used for loading the operating system. Normally used Personal Computers use BIOS which supports the booting from various devices like the hard disk.
