If you like snow Vermont is a wonderful place in the winter time. There are a variety of winter sports available as well as lovely country inns/bed and breakfasts scattered throughout the state. But it also depends on how far you want to travel and how much money is available to you.

*You could even map out a road-trip for yourselves. Get out the map and look to see where you might like to go and stop off at different places and enjoy the towns you go through, staying at places along the way. You could google those towns online and find the best places to eat and sleep for the money you have at your disposal. Remembering that you don't need to spend a lot of money to have a great time together.

*A friend of mine actually just did the road-trip/honeymoon with her new husband. Although they were actually going all the way across country to California to live. But they used that time as their honeymoon.

*My parents used to take road-trips and have dates together throughout the time they were married. I think that's one of the things that kept their marriage going strong for almost 35 years. Dad and Mom used to have a dart that they blindly threw at the map of the state that they lived in and wherever the dart landed was where they would go. They would do this at least once a month.
