    Does A Repo Have The Right To Threaten You With Jail If The Vehicle Is Not In Site?

    Repo man came to my house for my motor cycle it was not there,it was in a garage for winter storage,he threaten to have me put in jail for the holiday (xmas) and be away from my kids,he also flashed a badge of some type

    Well if you do not make payments and give them bike back they can put you in jail according to law as you signed a contract at the time you took vehicle from them so they have legal rights to do that.

    REPO MAN DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO THREATEN YOU WITH JAIL FOR NOT TURNING OVER CYCLE ,
    BANK HAS TO SUE YOU TO GET BIKE BACK,THEN THE POLICE CAN COME AND ARREST YOU REPO MAN CANNOT ARREST YOU NOR CAN HE THREATEN YOU WITH JAIL. IT IS THE LAW ,BREACH OF THE PEACE IS THE TERM STATES USE TO DEFINE WHAT REPO MEN CAN AND CANNOT DO ALSO THEY CAN BE CHARGE WITH A CRIME,SORRY WRONG ANSWER,I WAS REFERED TO THIS PAGE BUT DIDNT HELP ANYWAY
