      They died because of a volcano eruption and may meteorites hit the earth when it erupted and releasing a poisonous gas that wiped out every dinosaur

        The theory is that


        when the asteroid hit the world (in Mexico) it sent up a huge dust
        cloud that filled the atmosphere creating no light, and since plants
        need light to photosynthesize (feed) they died


        since their was no plants to feed on herbivorous dinosaurs died, and since there was no meat carnivores died,
