Were You Ever Or Are You A Stay At Home Mom?

I was a stay at home mum for over 30 years i loved it i got to see them take there first step heard there first word i was there for them in the good times the bad times i was always there to listen to there stories when they came in from school they never went without. As they got older i taught them how to cook and clean and they were taught to have good manners . Our house was always full of love and laughter and most nights i would have up to 16 children at my place nearly ever night. With 7 sons i never had a dull minute. The only thing i did miss was communication with the out side world. Other adults.

Yes, on and off. It is nice to be there when they get home from school to fix a snack and chat. I got to volunteer at school and kids love that. Also didn't have to worry when he was sick (about work). I got to go on field trips, they love that. Disadvanatage, being isolated more, and I had a neighbor who was a borrower who would drive me crazy. She watched kids for a living, never had any food or milk or bread or sugar for her coffee or ciggarrettes, and she sent kids over all day to borrow stuff.LOL The benefit of having her, was that for $20.00 she would come in and clean my house to a tolerable level when my son and friends had been over the weekend. She was fast, and it was nice to leave and come home to a neat and tidy place. I hate housework!!!!!! I have gotten better at it, but we only have 2 adults in the house so it doesn't get messed up so quick. An hour a day and I am almost done.

I have been for over 25 years. I haven't worked, and wasn't allowed to. I do love being a mother though. There isn't a thing with my children that I would ever have missed. Being a mother can be so rewarding.

Il share what i have observed.. Stay home mom.. Benefits are more of for the family than for themselves.. They can take care of their children and husband well.. For they focus their time on them.. But they focus less on themselves.. They tend to forget to carry themselves well.. But of course not all..

I stayed at home while my children were toddlers.  Once they started 1st grade, I went to work full time.
