What Do The Colors On The Dominica Flag Symbolize?

    The Dominica Republic Flag has a white cross in the center which divides the flag into four parts. The flag is blue on the top right and red on the bottom right hand side it is opposite on the left hand side that is the upper portion is red and the lower one blue. It has an image of a shield in the center of the white cross which is supported by olive and palm branches.
    The colors in the flag are quiet symbolic. The white color of the cross in the center represents peace. The red color represents hardiness, bravery and strength.Whereas the color blue is used to symbolize truth, justice and loyalty. A leader of the Trinitarians designed this flag who changed the Haitian flag by placing a white cross in the center to symbolize faith.
