There are some common materials that go in to the making of a Snowboard. There are many phases in the making of the snowboard. The "Topsheet" is the first layer of the snowboard; it not only protects the wear and tear to the body of the board, but also makes it a cool canvas for graphics. The second phase is to insert fiberglass under the 'topsheet'.
The third step is to make up the thickness of the board, which is done by the use of a certain material called "CORE". Core comprises of wood foam, honeycomb panels, with small sets of metal inserted in it. The fourth phase is to apply another layer of fiberglass plastic; doing this will make the board more strong.
Wood or foam core, Metal edges, Resin System (glue), Rubber Foil, Steel inserts, Topsheet with printed graphic, Fiber glass or epoxy, Plastic base, (p-tex)are the materials required for making a snowboard.
