What Do You Know About Mastiff Dogs? Help!Please?

Well i don't really know all the detail u want
but i have a boxer/mastiff male dog (2 years old) named Chopper
Mastiffs are or can get to be very big dogs (not freakishly big) fast runners, can have faces like a pitbull , and are very attractive - in my opinion sorry if that didn't help.

I have a Fila Barsar which is a close cousin to the Mastiff. It is the national dog of Brazil, where I understand the national saying is faithful as a Fila, as the dog is an extremely loyal and gentle animal towards its owners, as is mine. She weighs about 200lbs and is small for her breed from what I have researched and discussed with other mastiff owners with whom I am looking for a breeder for her. They are used on large cattle farms that they have in Brazil to protect the cattle herds with roam around on the massive ranches. They have been known to take down over 500lbs. Wild boars that attempt to attach the cattle. With my own dog I have seen it react with the same vigor and fearless attitude when she has felt my daughters or our home to be threatened. Never has she ever even come close to harming or even being a bit irritated with my family or those that are welcomed in my home. From the mastiff owners I have spoken with it is my understanding that this is the general disposition of this breed of dog. There are different variations, Japan has a version that was used of course as a palace guard and hunting dog, I am sorry I cannot recall the name of the breed but viewing it there is no doubt of its relationship and lineage. It is a very large breed and it truly becomes part of the family. They need a fair amount of space and of course room when they lay down. Cleaning up after them is quite the task but given the size it is what one should expect from such a pet.
