Rheumatoid arthritis is autoimmune disorder which causes inflammation of joints. Loss of appetite and weight loss are directly related with rheumatoid arthritis. Wight is also reduced due to age as he is 70 years. One thing that is very important that it is good that he has lost weight other wise management of RA is difficult. One way of treating RA is tom loose weight. Give him some appetite stimulants. If his pain is managed then don't worry about his appetite and weight loss.
