Why Do People Sleep Talk?

While nobody can pinpoint exactly why people sleep talk, it should be ensured that the person is not sleep derived. He should get enough sleep at night and keep away from thoughts that may cause him to get stressed or anxious. A person with a regular sleeping and eating pattern is less likely to sleep talk than someone who does not follow a particular schedule. Eating a heavy meal before bedtime should be avoided.

If sleep talking reoccurs, it is better to ensure that the sleep talker's mind is calm and relaxed and he should immediately be moved to a safer place. Sleep talking is known in scientific terminology as somniloquy. It is the utterance of sounds or words in one's sleep. The sleep talker is usually not aware of the event or its repercussions on himself or herself and his or her family members at that point of time. It is a common occurrence among children and particularly more so if they also sleep walk. Sleep talks can range from an entire conversation to a set of incoherent moans and sounds.    

I think why people talk in there sleep because they feel like they don't have nobody to talk to.
