It is best to take it to a dealer because Mercury sent me a recall for the shocks on my 2000 Mercury Sable LS sport.

I just got off the phone with the service department at our local dealership. (we have a 2000 Mercury Sable LS) They told me that a safety recall (since reduced to a bulletin) for the coils could cause the front end of the car to end up on the ground. If the milage is less than 150,000 the coils would be replaced at the dealership.
The original reason for the call was because our car makes this grinding sound that may be coming from the stearing column. Any feedback?
