Your friends aren't going to be in the relationship. It's not about anyone else but you two. You have to decide what your needs and wants are. Peer pressure is one of the biggest relationship bombs around, they can do good and they can be very bad for both parties.

You are blinded by love...your friends can see past the lust you're feeling. Listen to your friends.

I was in the same situation and now we are engaged. I'm sure your friends have problems of their own but the thing is some of the bad things that happen in your relationship you need to keep to yourself. That way your friends have less negative ammo to throw at your relationship. Trust Me on this one

I say it all depends on how and why you broke up. In the 50 years I've been alive I found that if trust has been broken it simply can not be repaired to make the relationship right again. Of all the get back togethers I've SEEN, none have been able to repair all of the damage done by the breakup. The only get-back-together I ever had work in any way was where we both agreed that we had killed the relationship. We also agreed that we were really dynomite together in the sack. SO... we decided to date JUST for the sex part once or twice a month. We always laughed about it and said that at least we could say we were "best Fu**ing friends" It lasted almost a year that way, and we can still smile and hug when we see each other around town.
