Harry Andrews played the snobbish headmaster Rev. R. Gregory Saunders in the series A.J. Wentworth, BA. This was also Arthur Lowe's last television appearance and was aired posthumously in 1982. The show was based on the happenings in an English Preparatory school for boys and centered round Lowe's character.
Harry Andrews is credited with over a hundred television performances spanning four decades from the 50's to the 80' and he even appeared in something called 'Circumstantial Evidence' in 1939. He started his acting carrier on the stage at Broadway and the West End. Though he had appeared on the big screen in 1939 he first properly debuted in 1953's 'The Red Berret'. He is believed to have said that he'd rather be a good actor playing good parts then some big star. He was remarked to have been good humored and was also known to have had an impediment to memorizing lines.
